HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

I know I have been a bit caught up on apples lately...but I was in the mood for a healthy, sweet, and crispy snack.  I used my left over Michigan Honey Crisp apples from my recent oatmeal recipe to make apple chips.

Apple Chips Recipe
Ingredients:
As many apples as you like
(Can add cinnamon and sugar if desired)

Directions:
Heat oven to 200-215oF.
Use a mandolin or serrated edged knife to slice the apples as thinly as you can.
Lightly spray a baking sheet.
Place the thin apple slices in a single layer, side by side.
 Bake for 60 minutes.
Flip the slices and bake another 60 minutes or until lightly browned and crispy.
Take out of the oven and enjoy.

You can also add additional sugar and cinnamon to the crisps for added flavor.  I baked mine plain and found them to be great on their own.

Have a great evening and be safe.  I will be handing out candy with my fiancee this evening as the Green Lantern with my side kick Captain America.
