I Survived The Tough Mudder!

Jeff and I

So a quick recap.  I completed the Tough Mudder on April 15th 2012 with my team Built Michigan Tough, and it was AWESOME. I have to thank my team for being motivated and amazing but also our group of supporters! It was excellent.

We arrived in Ohio on Saturday April 14th to about 45-50F, rain, and wind....things were not looking good.  On race day it was partially cloudy and 80F!  I am taking an educated guess and assuming that the 80F weather made the arctic enema (a dive into a pool of ice water) not feel as bad as I had anticipated.  Overall I HIGHLY encourage people to do this event.  There is no way it can be done without lots of team work and it was a great friend bonding experience + a physical challenge.   I for one am grateful that I had so many strong men on my team and a motivating co-female :).  Being five feet and one inch tall was a bit of a set back for this event.  Try climbing a 12 foot wall being five feet tall...its pretty impossible solo. My favorite obstacle...and probably the craziest to me...was jumping the plank into the quarry. It was a bit crazy, but fun, and an awesome rush :). I do have to admit I personally skipped the electric shock obstacles due to some potential  medical issues. I did not want to disrupt those...no thanks.  I still consider myself a Tough Mudder champion and I did include in the video footage below my team getting shocked :), quite entertaining!
